Hey, you have to hold the tube, stop it from coming out, as soon as the cannister is empty, you isolate the valve while still holding the tube in place, then you pull the tube out. As the Fernox Express is so fast, it's usually done in less than 30 secs. Also to note, the tube is quite tight and this helps you to keep it in place. Luckily, it's pretty much the same size as the drain point hole. One hand holds the valve, ready to close it, the other holds the tube and trigger, ie pushing towards the hole so it can't come out. Also make sure you have some rags / tissues underneath it to catch any residue/liquid. Hope that answers your question. JK

Hi, it's a slightly different fault code. F29 is more suggesting that the pilot ignited but then it could not stay on. You may need to look if there is a different issue going on. This video usually works when the gas valve has seized into the closed position. Jay K.

@@MyBoiler happened twice again this week. And got it going again. Raised the hot water temp from 57 to 61'C to see if that helps. Think the low water pressure in our area combined with the low heat might not push the Vaillant hard enough.

@@Bartezz If it is a gas valve issue that keeps recurring you may want to do a fixed price repair with Vaillant as the gas valve is quite expensive. This is unless you are still in warranty of course. The boiler has a minimum water pressure / flow rate and will work to quite a low level, you can check the specs and compare against your actual flow rates. Jay K.
